One thing that has been of immense help to me over the years is Myotherapy. It has brought relief for headache, arms, legs, feet, and back pain. It is trigger point therapy. For those not familiar with the term, a trigger point is a highly irritable spot in a muscle and contributes critically to pain. Finding the points in any given area of pain and treating them has brought me immediate relief countless times. When pressure is applied to those points for approximately seven seconds and then released , those points are extinguished. There are specific stretches and/or exercises to follow up with for any area of the body treated that needs to finish releasing the muscle.
